Eliza was born in 1867 in Horwich, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of Richard Close and Ellen Hartley.[1] In 1881 Eliza was living near Horwich Junction with her parents and siblings [2] In 1891 Eliza (age about 24) was living with her brother and other relatives in Horwich, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom as a house keeper.[3]
When Eliza was about 25 she married Henry Holland on 6 January 1892 in Blackrod, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. The couple had 6 children: James (Jim) Holland, Ellen Holland, George Holland, Annie Holland, Charles Holland and Thomas Holland.[4]
In 1901 and 1911 Eliza was living at 22 Autumn Street, Horwich, Lancashire with her family.[5] [6]
Eliza died at the age of about 74 in 1941 in Horwich, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom.[7]
