Biography

Daily Cockrum is a part of US Black heritage.

Daily was born in 1889 in Texas. He was the son of Samuel Cockram and Nellie Owens.

By 1917 he had moved to New York City. He entered the U.S. Army from New York and served with the 19th Field Artillery Division from 1918 to 1919.

In 1930 he was living with wife Bessie in Manhattan, New York where he worked as an insurance broker. No children were present in the household.

He passed away in 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was buried in Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee.
