Biography
Pierre Cornille was born 20 Jan 1641 in Les Baux-de-Provence to Antoine Cornille and Marie Lacroix.[1] He died on 24 Jun 1697 in Les Baux-de-Provence.[2] In 1669, he married Jacqueline Marrotte in Les Baux-de-Provence.[3] They had at least the following children:
- Honoré Cornille, born 18 Aug 1675.[4]
- Jacques Cornille, born 13 Jul 1687 [5]
Little is known about Pierre's life but it is likely that he was a farmer. The village he and his family lived in would have seen the old Chateau des Baux much as it is shown in the image since it was destroyed about nine years before he was born.[6] The picture of Église Saint-Vincent des Baux shows the church the family attended and he was married in.
