Biography

William was born in Saint Neot, Cornwall and baptised there on 12 December 1773.[1] He is the son of Matthew Crapp and Mary Jewell

William married Ann Bunt on 8 December 1801 at Warleggan, Cornwall.[2]

At the time of the 1841 Census William was living in Cardinham, Cornwall, with his wife Ann, son Charles, his father Matthew and seven others, two of whom are possibly his sons.[3]

In 1851 William was still in Cardinham, with his wife Ann, son Charles, Charles' wife and daughter, visitor Emma Cook and four servants. William was described as a farmer of 80 acres who employed three labourers.[4]

William died on 14 August 1852 and was buried on four days later in Cardinham.[5]
