Biography

Original Proprietor of Hartford, CT.

m. 1648 Elizabeth, dau. of Hon. George Fenwick.

He was probably the "Cousin Cullick" mentioned by William Lyngwood (either the father or son, but probably the son, of that name) of Braintree, England in a letter dated 1651. John Cullick made a true copy of that letter on 11 October 1654, which was stored in Hartford.[1]

Death 23 Jan 1662/3 Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts,[2]

Will: John Cullick of Boston in the county of Suffolk; Bequests to son John Cullick, when he turn 21 £150; to daughter Mary Cullick £150 when she turns 21 or marries, whichever is first; and likewise to daughter Elizabeth Cullick; Names wife Elizabeth executor and friends Capt. John Leverett and Mr. James Penn as overseers. dated 20 Jan 1662.[3]

His estate was inventoried 10 February 1662[/3?]. It was valued at £972-13-08.[4] It included three slaves listed as "the neger boye", "the howe", and "the son".[5]
