Edward Arthur "Ted" Daley was born on 8 August 1921 in St Arnaud, Victoria, Australia, the son of Elizabeth Hannah May (Kirkpatrick) Daley and Edward Charles Daley.[1]
Ted was a Bank Clerk and became a RAAF spitfire pilot attached to 145 squadron in WW2 and disappeared on the return from a bombing raid on Sicily, to base at North Africa. He was Warrant Officer 400785 and enlisted in Melbourne 0n 8th November 1940, and was officially presumed dead on 4 July 1943. He is commemorated on the Malta Memorial, panel 11, column 2.
