Wilkes Barre Times, 8 Dec 1908: Druggist B. F. Maxey Joins Benedicts Well Known Business Man Married in New York City Yesterday Cards were received in this city today announcing the marriage of Miss Mabel Daniels, of Scranton, to B. F. Maxey, of this city. The ceremony was performed at the church of the Epiphany in New York City by Rev. W. T. Crocker, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and was witnessed by a few intimate friends of both young people. Mrs. Maxey is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Daniels, of 632 Madison avenue, Scranton. She has a pleasing personality, is a great favorite among her friends and is certainly a charming young lady. Mr. Maxey, as was always supposed, was one of Wilkes Barre's "Bachelor Men," immune to matrimony, but his better sense and good judgment predominated and yesterday's grand finale was a great surprise to his many friends, who have nothing but the best wishes for his matrimonial voyage through life. He is a prosperous pharmacist and owner of one of the leading drug stores in this city. After a brief wedding tour Mr. and Mrs. Maxey will return here and be at home at 7 North Main street after January 1, 1909.
