Biography

Frederick W G was born in 1945 at Lynton, Devon, the son of Frederick William Clifford Detheridge and Joan Bessie Detheridge formerly Smith. ^[1]

From The Birmingham Post dated 4 July 1967, Pg 7 -
Car passenger dies five days after accident
Mr. Frederick Detheridge, aged 22, of Howley Grange Road, Halesowen, the driver of a car which was in collision with a train in Barnt Green Road, Rednal, was said to be "still extremely ill" last night in Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, five days after the accident.
One of the four passengers in the vehicle, Mr. Allan Skidmore, aged 22, also of Howley Grange Road, died earlier yesterday at the hospital.
Another passenger, Miss Jean Paddock, of Other Road, Redditch, was last night said to be "still seriously ill." The conditions of the other two passengers, Mr. Derek Shaw, aged 22, also of Howley Grange Road, Halesowen, and Miss Lynn Bradshaw, of Beoley Road, Redditch, were both described as "fairly satisfactory." ^[2]

Frederick's parent's both died while residing at 107 Howley Grange Rd, Halesowen, Worcestershire, his father in 1969 and mother in 1992.

In his mother's will Joan requested her estate be converted into money and held in trust for her son Frederick William George Detheridge. The monies were then to be paid to the Court of Protection because of her sons head injuries. ^[3]

Frederick was still living at 107 Howley Grange Road in the 2006 electoral roll. ^[4]

Frederick then moved to 30 Margaret Vine Court, 1-46 Moat Drive, Halesowen, a retirement housing complex managed by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. He was still living there at his death. ^[5]

Frederick William George Detheridge died on 13 May 2009 at Halesowen aged 64 years. His date of birth was recorded as 10 February 1945. ^[6]

Frederick left his estate to three charities, the Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth Devon, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, The Lodge, Sandy, Bedfordshire and Dr. Barnado's of 372 Tanners Lane, Barkinside, Ilford, Essex. ^[8]
