Biography
Jennet (Janet) Devanny (married name McMillan and Holden) was born 30rh June 1847, Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland,, the daughter of John Devanny and Elizabeth McCartney.
Emigration to Australia. According to her mother's 1904 obituary, Jennet was one of three children born in the 'Old Country', Ayrshire, with one dying there and the other dying during the voyage to the Colony of Victoria. They landed in 1852. Three more children were born in the Colony. [1]
Marriage 1. 6th Ocober 1860 to Iver (Edward) McMillan in Melbourne, Victoria. [2]
Widowed. 10th June 1872.
Marriage 2. in 1874, she married John Holden, in Victoria. [3]
Death. Jennet Holden died 9th June 1912, aged 67. [4]
