John was born in 1794. He passed away in 1845. John was the father of John Dornan who was the father of my Great Grandfather Lemuel Dornan.

Per https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/about/L2FK-PTN John married Rachel Crow and had 6 children, she died in 1830 and he then married Nancy Wilson and they had 3 children. His parents were John Dornan and Sarah Jane Caldwell.

It is unclear to me if Rachel was legally married to John Dornan but they did have 6 children:
