Ulysses (Duchene) Duchan is a part of US Black heritage.

Ulysses Duchene was born circa 1903 at Louisiana, USA. He appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 in the household of his parents, Ignace Duchene and Octavie Raguet at Louisiana Ave., Patterson, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana.^[1] He was a laborer at a saw mill when he appeared on the census of 10 Jan. 1920 in the household of his parents at Patterson, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. ^[2]

He married Julia about 1927.^[3]

He and Julia appeared on the census of 7 April 1930 at Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA. ^[3]

He married Rosetta Verrett about 1938.^[4][5] Rosetta is probably the daughter of Ivory and Julie Verrett.^[6]

He and Rosetta appeared on the census of 1940 at 3111 1/2 Delano, Houston, Harris County, Texas. ^[5]

He died on 14 April 1954 at Harris County, Texas and was buried at St. Martin de Porres Cemetery, Crosby, Harris County, Texas.^[7]
