Biography
Mary was born about 1855. She is the daughter of Thomas Dunn and Catherine Forde. [1]
In 1879 Mary Anne Dunne of Cookstown, father Thomas Dunne, married William Steele a sawyer of Lissan, father John Steele at Drrryloran Parish Church. [2]
In 1901 the Steele family were living in Loy, William 44, Sawyer, his wife Mary Anne 39, and their children Sadie 17, teacher, Edith 13, linen weaver, Thomas 8, Harry 6 and Marian 3. All born Ck Tyrone. [3]
In 1911 the family had moved to Fair Hikl Street, William 52, sawyer, his wife Mary Anne 49, and their children Thomas 17, assistant creamery manager, Henry Ford 15, apprentice drapery, Marion 13, and William Wdward 9.. All born Co Tyrone. They had been married 33 years with 12 children, 6 still living. [4]
