Father on death certificate is called James Elliott, but mother's LNAB is correct. This keeps bugging my brain, but it is so possible that the person reporting the death (not an easy or non stressful task) just got it wrong.
Biography
William was born in 1852, the son of Albert Elliott and Susan née Gleason Elliott. His mother passed away before he was eight, and he went to live with extended family in Michigan before his father remarried, and William is seen at age 17 living with father Albert, step mother Mary and half sister Emma, age seven and half brother James, age two in Hazelton Township, Shiawassee, Michigan.
In 1876, William wed Sarah Vance in Flushing, Genesee, Michigan, and they had at least one daughter together.
After the death of Sarah in 1902, William married Amelia Squires Lutes, daughter of John A. Squires and Olive née Zyron. He passed away eight years later on 15 April 1910 in Montrose, Genesee, Michigan, United States. He was laid to rest at the Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Genesee County, Michigan, United States of America.
