Emma Carolina Persdotter was born on November 26, 1867 in Ny parish in Värmland, Sweden. She was the daughter of Per Persson and his first wife.
She had an older sister Marit born in 1865, and two half siblings from her father's second marriage to Karin Persdotter: Anna Christina b. 1882 and Per Gustaf b. 1885.
The family lived in Mörbacka in Dalby parish, Värmland 1886-1889. Her father emigrated to the United States in 1888 and the rest of the family followed on March 27, 1889.[1]
They took last name Englund in the United States.
Emma passed away in 1951. She is buried in Moe-Rose Cemetery, Roseau County, Minnesota.
