Biography

Hannah/Anna Maria married John Ely on April 7, 1833, in Bury St Edmunds, England. ^[1] They had multiple children: William M, John, William R, Frederic, Frances Sarah, Emily, Alfred, and Fanny. By 1891 she was deaf. Her death (age 81) was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1891 in the Bury St. E. district.^[2][3]

The most likely baptism record would appear to be either Maria in 1808 or Maria in 1815, but Mary in 1807 was baptised much closer to Bury St Edmunds. Denham is only ~7 miles/15 minute drive away, while Kersey is ~40 minutes/~20 miles away near Ipswich and Little Glenham is ~1 hour/37 miles away, close to the coast.
