Harriet (Fairbourn) Johnson was born in Yorkshire, England.
Harriet was born in Tadcaster, Yorkshire 27 January 1837 & baptised Harriet Fairbourn, 19 February 1837, Tadcaster Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Yorkshire the daughter of William Fairbourn & Ann of Tadcaster. [1]
With siblings in 1851 living in Chapel Street, Tadcaster, Yorkshire with parents. [2]
William Johnson and Harriet Fairbourn were married by licence on 27th February 1862 at St Mary's, Tadcaster, Yorkshire. [3] William was a 29 year old bachelor, a farmer living at Toulston, Newton Kyme, the son of William John who was also a farmer. Harriet was 21, a spinster living in Tadcaster and the daughter of William Fairbourn who was a painter. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Margaret Banks and William Fairbourn.[4]
