John Fane was born on May 5, 1728 in England, son of Thomas Fane (<1701–<1771) and Elizabeth Swymmer (1708–1782).
John (29) married Augusta Bertie (19) (born about 1738 in England; daughter of Montague Bertie and Elizabeth (Piers) Bertie) on March 26, 1758.[1] Their children were:
- John Fane (1759–1841)
- Thomas Fane (1760–1807)
- Augusta Fane (~1761–~1838)
John (39) married Susan Gordon (21) (born on March 21, 1746 in Scotland; daughter of Cosmo George Gordon and Catherine Gordon) on May 28, 1767. Their children were:
- Susan Fane (1768–1793)
- Elizabeth Fane (1770–1844)
- Mary Fane (1772–1855)
John died on April 25, 1774 aged 45.
