Biography

Benjamin was baptised on 31 July 1746 at St John the Baptist Church in Chelmorton, Derbyshire as the son of John Farmer of Flagg and his wife Mary.[1]

On 9 June 1783, Benjamin and Hannah Tymm were married by banns at All Saints Church, Bakewell; both were never married previously, and both were of King Sterndale.[2]

Benjamin was mentioned in his father's 1797 will, in which his father's farm at Flagg was to be divided between Benjamin and his brother Francis under the provision that they provided their mother with 2/- per week.[3]

Benjamin passed away in 1828, being interred at St John the Baptist Churchyard, Chelmorton on 16 March that year. The burial register notes he was a resident of Flagg.[4]
