Biography

James Fenn was born on 05 November 1757 in Horsell, Woking, Surrey, England to parents Abraham Fenn and Sarah Fenn nee Hames.

James (22) married firstly, Mary Brackley (24) (born about 16 April 1754) on 19 September 1778 in Send, Surrey. Mary nee Brackley died with no known children.

James (27) married his second wife, Sarah Dyer Sarah Dyer born about 1750, on 25 October 1783 in Merrow, Surrey ^[1] Abraham Fennborn 30 May 1787.

NB:The following statement is, I believe, incorrect in that the elderly parents are assumed to have died earlier. It should be soon deleted given time to review and digest to reduce the potential for error. The link most probably refers to James the father not James the son. Their known son was James died in 1843, aged 87. The following link should lead to a certificate,giving the reference details required:^[2] ''

There are no known children of James and Mary nee Brackley whereas his second wife Sarah nee Dyer had the following children: Rachel (Fenn) Shelley; Abraham Fenn; William Fenn; Sarah Fenn; Millie Fenn; John Fenn; James Fenn; Elizabeth Fenn and Hester Fenn.

1841 Census: In 1841 James is shown as 85 years of age living just with Sarah,his wife, aged 75 years. ^[3].Entry for James Fenn and Sarah Fenn, 1841

James probably died in the June Quarter of 1843 - as above Deaths Jun 1843 99% FENN James Guildford 4 122 ^[4]
