Biography

Louis was born in Ohio [3-8] in 1872 to John and Christina (Adams) Flohr [1]. He was baptized March 28, 1872 by St. Paul's Church in Columbiana, Ohio [1]. He was confirmed in 1886 by St. Paul's (Koch) Church in Columbiana County, Ohio [2]. He married Margaret Bahler in Columbiana County in 1911 [10]. They raised a family of 5 children. Louis worked as a farmer. He died in 1954 [10] and was buried in Columbiana Cemetery in Columbiana County, Ohio [9].

10. The Evening Review (East Liverpool, Ohio) for March 29, 1954, Page 11 carried an obituary for Louis Floor. It read: " Louis E. Floor. ROGERS -- Louis E. Floor farmer, died Saturday night at 9:30 at his home near Rogers following a lingering illness. He was 82. He was born Feb. 27, 1872, in New Springfield, Mahoning County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Floor. He was married Sept. 6, 1911, to Margaret Bahler, who died in 1948. Mr. Floor was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Lutheran Church of New Springfield. He is survived by four sons, Finton Floor at home, Alpha Floor of East palestine, Edwin Floor of Columbiana and Herbert Floor of New Waterford; a daughter, Miss Christina Floor at home, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 in the Rogers Methodist Church by the Rev. G. E. Chalfant. Burial will be in the Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the Warrick Funeral Home in Columbiana and Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church."
