Sarah was born in 1813. She was the daughter of Christopher and Mary Foglesong. She married George K Kerr. They had 9 known children. Living in Pocahontas, VA (previously West VA), it is here she died on 1 Jan 1958, age 44. She is buried at the family cemetery at Saulsberry Run.
The Kerr-Nottingham Cemetery that is just off the Greenbank Road on Saulsbury Run (sometimes called Salisbury Run) at Boyer, WV. Going north at Boyer, WV, on Rt. 28/92, turn right onto Howard Heavner Road, then right onto Greenbank Road (I believe it is also called CR4), go about 1/4 mile, turn left onto an unmarked dirt road, proceed 100 yards. You can see it from Saulsbury Run Road, but there is no entrance there. Greenbank Quadrangle. Condition: Fenced, well maintained. Repairs have been made on some stones, and additional ground-level brass markers have been placed on some stones that are becoming unreadable. Notes: Generations of the original landowners of this valley, Kerrs and Nottinghams, and others, are buried here. It is on property formerly owned by James Nottingham, cemetery currently owned by Jim Nottingham of Marlinton.
