Biography
Catherine Friedal was born in Germany in 1896. She married George Lebold. They emigrated to Canada in the early 1930s and homesteaded in the Watson, Saskatchewan district.
LEBOLD The death of Catherine Lebold of the Quill Plains Lodge in Watson, Saskatchewan occurred on March 10th, 1991 at the Watson Union Hospital in Watson, Saskatchewan at the age of 94 years. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, March 12th, 1991 from Scharf's Funeral Chapel In Watson, Saskatchewan. The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, March 13th, 1991 from the Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Watson with Rev. Fr. Daniel Muyres O.S.B. as Celebrant. Interment to follow in the Sacred Heart R C. Church Cemetery in Watson.
Catherine is lovingly remembered by her son, Pius (Myrtle) Lebold of Saskatoon, SK, by daughters, Melita (Louis) Auchstaetter of Watson, SK, Mary (Gordon) Noble of Saskatoon, SK. Lydia (Hay) Diener of Humboldt, SK, Manon (Hay) Hmderks of Foam Lake, SK and Gloria Wozmk and friend Walter Novakoski of Saskatoon, SK; by 19 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband George in 1985, by her Infant son, Leo; by a daughter Clara Wiegel; by three sons-in-law, Homer Hahn, Ernest Wiegel and Gordon Laybourne; by three grandchildren and by three great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Eileen Johnson, Layma Fetter, Joan Baerwaldt, Janice Lebold, Dianne Newcombe, Joanne Unger, Darlene Williams, Donna Hainsworth, Barbara Laybourne, Lorraine Markison and Wanda Woznik. Active pallbearers will be Donald Auchstaetter, Mark Wiegel, David Hahn, Raymond Laybourne, Brian Laybourne and Garry Hinders. An honour guard will be formed by the Catholic Women's League. Memorial donations made to the Watson Union Hospital or to the Donors Choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Scharf'S Funeral Home, Humboldt. Saskatchewan.[1]
