Robert was born about 1877. He passed away about 1940.

• Eliza Franklin, FW, s, 21, b. 1879 in Appomattox to Wm. P. and Elizabeth Franklin to Robt. L. Fulcher, MW, s, 22, b. 1878 in Buckingham to Henry and Isetta Fulcher. Married 26 Dec 1900 in Prince Ed. Co.^[1]
• The 1910 Buffalo, Prince Edward, Virginia census shows Robt. Fulcher as head of household, white male, 29, farm laborer working out with the ability to read and write. His wife, Eliza, is listed as a white female, 28, b. 1882, could read and write. Record shows a first marriage of 9 years with three out of three children living, and three children are listed: William, Lucy, and Robert. It is noted also that all were born in Virginia, parents born in Virginia, and that they resided in a rented house.^[2]
• By 1920, Robert Lee Fulcher and wife, Eliza, remain in the Buffalo, Prince Edward, Virginia area. They still rent, but the property is now a farm, and Robert is farming with the help of his eldest son, William N. Robert is 45, his wife is 43. William is 17, Lucy F. is 15, Wesley R(obert) is 9, and Mamie P. is 4. All children except Mamie could read and write, and Lucy and Wesley were students.^[3]
• In 1930, Robert L. Fulcher is counted in the Prospect, Prince Edward, Virginia census along with wife, Sarah E. and son R. Wesley and daughters Mamie and Catherine, who is 9. Robert also is flanked by the enumeration of his son William, who was now married, and daughter Lucy, who also married. It appears Eliza's half-brother, W. Harrison, is counted along with the Fulcher families. Nothing has changed otherwise except for ages. They all rent, they all farm.^[4]
