Biography

William was born in 1867.^[1] He was baptised on 27th June 1867 at Guisborough, Yorkshire, England as the son of John and Jane Gibben.^[2]

William's marriage to Eleanor Burman was registered in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire in the fourth quarter of 1890^[3][4].

In 1891 he lived with his wife at his father-in-law's residence in Linthorpe, Yorkshire, England as a steam engine fitter.^[5]

At the time of the 1901 Canada Census, William, Elenor, Ruth E., Crystal, John E., Gladys M., Paul, and William H Gibben (mistranscribed as "Gibbon") were listed as living in Winnipeg, Manitoba^[6]. At the time of the census, William's occupation was listed as "Com Traveller". In 1926 he lived with his wife in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.^[7]

He passed away in 1942.^[8][9]
