This person, Birth Place of England, does not correspond to that of the rest of the family and his age was the same as one of the three Vincent grandchildren. The 1901 Census of Canada, his first at age 4, indicated that William Gibbons (with Gibbons given as his surname) arrived in Canada in 1898 and was an adopted son. [1]
Birth year and month in the 1911 census is 2 1/2 years earlier than in the previous census when William Gibbons was recorded as two years younger than Sadie.[2]
