Biography

James Gilson Jr. was born on 20 Mar 1792 in Pepperelll, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA. He was the first of seven children of James Gilson and Sarah Dodge. James married first Clarissa Symes "Christy" Ashely on 2 Dec 1818 in Hartland, Windsor, Vermont, USA. One child is seen from this marriage: Clarissa Caroline (Gilson) Burbank (1825-1907)

After Clarissa passed away on 15 Jun 1841, James later married Betsey Pinney (1796-1875).

James passed away in 1874. As sourced he was buried at the Plains Cemetery, Hartland, Windsor, Vermont, USA.
