- I give and Bequeath unto my Loving son James Goodwin my Negro boy Abraham to him and his heirs forever.
At a court held for Elizabeth City County, March 3'd, 1752
- Ordered that the Churchwarden of this Parish bind out James Goodwin orphan to Matthew Baradall according to Law.
Reported to the Eliz'a City County Court the 3rd day of April 1764 & ordered to be recorded.
