Arthur was born in 1893. [1] He was the child of Samuel Goodwin and Ada Ann Holmes.

He married Emily Truro Henderson in 1919. [2]

Arthur passed away in 1957 [3] and his remains are interred at Newcastle Memorial Park, Beresfield, New South Wales, Australia. [4]
