Biography

Catherine was born on the 8th of November, 1810 in Ross-shire, Scotland. ^[1] Her parents were John Gordon and Georgina Robison.

She married Donald Sutherland on the 28th of May, 1829, in Sutherland, Scotland, United Kingdom. ^[2]

On the 14th of February, 1830, they had their first born child, Thomas Sutherland. Thomas was Christened on the 17th of February. ^[3]. Together, they went on to have several more children in Golspie, Johanna (8 Nov 1831), ^[4] George (6 Jun 1834), ^[5] Hugh Munro (16 May 1836), ^[6] Henry Robertson (31 May 1840), ^[7] Isabella (5 Aug 1842), ^[8]

She passed away 14 Dec 1896 in Culmailie, Golspie.
