Peter Guerri was a South Carolina colonist.

Pierre or Peter Guerri was the son of Pierre Guerri and Jeanne Broussard, French Huguenot immigrants to the Province of Carolina. He was born after his parents' arrival in Carolina (probably about 1690-1) and before 1697.[1][2][3]He lived in Craven County on the north side of the Santee River, in St. James Santee Parish.[4]

By 1720 Pierre had married Marguerite Rembert, daughter of André Rembert and Anne Bressan. They had children Elisha, Andrew, Peter, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret, Madeleine, and Lydia.[2]

Peter had a brother named James (Jacques), who names Peter in his will.[5][6]

Death

Peter Guerri wrote his will 1 Mar 1736/7, it was recorded on 6 May 1737. He died a few days after writing the Will, and before his father-in-law wrote his Will on 4 March 1736/7.[4] [2]
