Biography

Edward John Halla was born on January 19, 1908^[1][2]in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of John Halla and Caroline Fox. He was the 3rd child of 7 children. In 1910, at the age of 2, he was in his Parent's Home in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, along with his siblings.^[3] He was also in their home in 1920, at age 11.^[4]

He married Marie Lillian Nepras (1912-200) on October 11, 1930, in Cook County, Illinois.^[5] Children:

1. Patricia Lois Halla (1930-2002)
2. Roland "Ronald" Elmer Halla^[6]
3. Carol Ann Halla

He and Marie lived in Chicago, Cook county, Illinois in 1940, where He was a Forman for a Auto manufacturer, and Marie was taking care of the home and children, Patricia -8, and Roland-7.^[7]

He died on December 31, 1988, at the age of 80, in Cook county, Illinois^[2] and was buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, Cook County, Illinois.^[1]
