Biography

Frances Elizabeth Hanks was born on November 21, 1852 in Anderson County, South Carolina.[1] She was the daughter of Luke Hanks and Martha King. At age 8, she was in her parent's home in Rigiment 4, Anderson County, South Carolina along with her siblings.[2]
She married John Preston Tribble (1844-1881). They had at least 5 children.
  1. Essie Ophelia (Tribble) King (1869-1934)
  2. Calpernia P (1872-1936)
  3. Judson Monroe Tribble (18765-1961)[3]
  4. Martha Elizabeth (Tribbl) Williamson (1877-1952)[4]
  5. Albert Preston Tribble (1880-1956)[5]
They made their home in Martin Twp., Anderson County, South Carolina in 1880, where John was a Farner, and Frances was taking care of the home and Children, Essie-11, Calpernia-7, Judson-5, and Martha-2.[6]
Her husband John Preston "J.P." passed away in 1881 in Anderson, South Carolina, at the age of 37.
She died on April 16, 1921, at the age of 68, in Anderson County, South Carolina and was buried in the Neals Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina.[1]
