Ann was born in 1853. She was the daughter of Henry Hardwidge and Eliza Collings. She was living with her parents and siblings at Cross Street, Compton Bishop, Somerset in 1861. She was living in the Harington household at Bath Road, Keynsham, Somerset and working as a cook(domestic servant) in 1881. She was living at Westbury Hill, Westbury On Trym, Gloucestershire and working as a domestic servant cook in 1891.
