Biography

Caroline was born in December 1857 in IL USA, USA. She was the daughter of Michael George Hemm and Karoline A Boesenecker.^[1]

In the 1860 census Caroline (age 2) was living in Kendall, Bristol, Kendall, Illinois.^[1]

When Caroline was 17 she married George W Rhutasel on 20 July 1875 in Kendall, Illinois. The couple had 4 children: Wesley C Rhutasel, Ida M Rhutasel, Laura B Rhutasel, and Etta C Rhutasel.^[2][3][4]

In the 1880 census Caroline (age 22) was living in Ross, Franklin, Iowa.^[5]

When Caroline was 39 she married Noah J Thomas on 23 December 1896 in Cerro Gordo, Iowa.^[6][7][8] The couple had 2 children: Raymond L Thomas and Edna Ione Thomas.^[9]

In the 1900 census Caroline (age 42) was living in Ross, Franklin, Iowa.^[10]

In the 1910 census Caroline (age 52) was living in Ross, Franklin, Iowa.^[11]

Caroline died at the age of about 60 in 1918 in Chapin Franklin Co., IA, Iowa.^[12][13]
