and was buried in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Hopewell, Johnson County, Indiana, United States of America. [6]

Death of Rev. Thomas Henderson
Relatives and friends in Franklin were shocked Sunday morning when it was learned that a telegram had been received by Charles B. Henderson announcing the sudden death Saturday night of his brother, the Rev. John Thomas Henderson, at St. Paul, Minn.
While Dr. Henderson had been in ill health there had been no intimation that he was in any but his ordinary condition.
He had expected to leave this week with Mrs. Henderson to spend the winter in Florida and they had packed their household goods preparatory to the journey.
Mr. Henderson was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Henderson and was born in Johnson county, fifty-three years ago.
He attended the Hopewell school afterward going to Wabash college where on the completion of his studies he entered McCormick Theological college in preparation for the ministry.
His first pastorate was with the Pipestone, Minn., Presbyterian church where he was stationed for six years.
He then accepted the chaplainship of Park College in Missouri where he remained two years when he accepted the pastorate of the Janesville, Wisconsin, Presbyterian church where he remained ten years.
He accepted a call to the Merriam Park church at Minneapolis, which he later relinquished to engage in Brotherhood work at Chicago where he remained two years.
For some time past he had been engaged as field secretary for McAllister College at St. Paul, where he resided.
Mr. Henderson had a large acquaintance in Johnson county.
His last visit in Franklin was last fall.
He was a forceful speaker and an untiring worker in every branch of Christian endeavor he had engaged in.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Henderson, his widow, who was Miss Sallie Banford, of Chicago, one sister, Mrs. Ross Dunlap, and three brothers, Charles R. Henderson, Omer D. Henderson and Otto Henderson, all of Franklin.
The body will be brought to Franklin, Tuesday afternoon and will be taken to the home of his parents north of Franklin, C. B. Henderson leaving last night for Chicago to meet the bereaved widow and accompany her for the remainder of the trip.
The funeral services will be held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at Hopewell church, the Rev. J. B. Ferguson coming from Camp Taylor to conduct the services.
