Biography

European Aristocracy
Sir Nicholas Hervey was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Born by 1491 Nicholas Harvey or Hervey was the third son of William Hervey of Ickworth and his wife, Jane Cockett. [1]

By 1512 he was married to Elizabeth Fitzwilliam, daughter of Thomas FitzWilliam of Aldwarke in Yorkshire and widow of Sir Thomas Maleverer.[1] They had at least one child, their son, Thomas. [1]

His second wife was widow Bridget Wiltshire, daughter of Sir John Wiltshireof Stone in Kent [1] and his wife, Margaret Graunt. Bridget was widow of Sir Richard Wingfield.[1] Nicholas and Bridget were parents of three sons, including George, and two daughters. [1]

In 1529 he was returned to Parliament as member for Huntingdonshire. [2]

Nicholas died on the 5th of August 1532 and was buried at Ampthill in Bedfordshire.[1]
