In 1850 Stephen (16, Ky, none) is living in Pulaski Co., Division No. 1, in the household of Lindsay Colyer (29, farmer), his wife, and 3 children. ^[3]

In 1860 he is living in the household of Jane Hinds, the widow of his brother Joel. He is 25, Ky, farm laborer. His wife has presumably died, and he has a 2 year old child. ^[4] He does not appear in subsequent censuses.
