Michael Hintz was born in 1788 in Gilow Prussia (today: Poland).[1] He was the son of Unknown Hintz.
In 1813 the Russian Tsar Alexander I. invited german peasants to emigrate to Bessarabia.[2]
At the age of 26 Michael emigrated to Bessarabia, at the Black Sea in Russia.[3] He belonged to the first generation of german colonists, who founded the village Leipzig in 1815 (today Serpnewe, Ukraine).
In 1814 he married Dorothea Neubauer. They had the following children:

I would agree with Gudrun, I do not think these Hinz men should be tied together as brothers. If you look at the Carolyn Schott link you provided as your source, Carolyn provides no sources for her listing these men as brothers. They are not even from the same villages/location in Poland/Prussia. Mr. Arthur Flegel in "Extended Relationships of Kulm, Leipzig, and Tarutino Communities" does not list them as brothers. I would suggest separating them, until better documentation can be found.
