Clyde was born in 1922. He was the son of Clyde Hoag and Margarethe Schumann. He passed away in 1994.

Mr. Hoag, who died Wednesday, was born in Wendell, Idaho.

He moved to Spokane as a child, and after graduating from North Central High School went to work for Western Electric, now known as AT&T Technologies. He worked for the company in Spokane, Seattle, New York, Chicago and Portland, retiring in 1977 as the operations manager. He returned to Spokane after his retirement.

He was the former president and current chairman of the board of the Corbin Community Center. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and was a World War II Navy veteran.

Mr. Hoag was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Michele Hoag. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn M. Hoag, at the home; one daughter, Margaret (Todd) Sloan of Portland; two sons, Clyde Curtis Hoag of Portland and Charles (Paula) Hoag of Dallas; one sister, Teddy Paulson of Greenacres; two grandsons, Christopher and Brent Sloan, both of Portland; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Corbin Community Center or the American Cancer Society.
