Biography
John Hodgins was born in Lancashire, England.
John, a confectioner, married Miriam Holliday in New Wortley, Yorkshire, in 1871.[1][2] The family lived in Leeds, Yorkshire, in 1881, when Miriam worked as a dressmaker.[3] By 1891 the Hodgins family lived in Walton on the Hill in Liverpool. John was the licensed victualler of a pub on Anfield Road.[4]
John died before 1911[citation needed] when Miriam lived in Ashton upon Mersey, Cheshire, with her daughter and son-in-law, Lily and William Roberts.[5]
