Biography
James Hudgens Jr., son of James Hudgens and Susanna Miles, was born in 1773 in Cumberland County, Virginia. He died in 1865 in Robertson County, Tennessee. He was buried in Ashland, Wayne, Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Gibson on 25 Jul 1805 in Bedford County, Virginia.[1]
James Jr. and his 5 children, along with his parents and 7 brothers and sisters left Cumberland County, VA in 1811 and came to what is now Cheatham County, Tennessee. Some moved to Robertson County - just north of Cheatham. John Hudgens (born 1804) moved his family from Robertson County, Tennessee to Williamson County, Illinois in 1852.
