Samuel married Mary Torrey and their children were born at Weymouth, Massachusetts.
The family relocated to Barrington, Rhode Island probably around 1701 and probably with James Smith, as they jointly purchased land at Phoebe's Neck in Swansea on April 2 of that year.[1]
