Biography
My name is Paul W. Hutchins. I was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, located on picturesque Cape Cod, often referred to by my father as, “The land of the free and the home of the Kennedys.”
Upon graduation from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, I enrolled at Baptist Bible College (Clarks Summit, PA). I went on to continue his education at Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Minneapolis, MN), Northland Baptist Bible College (Dunbar, WI), and finally Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary (Ankeny, IA).
Over a span of twenty-five years, I pastored in three churches: two in Michigan and one in Iowa. I was ordained to the ministry in 1985.
Genealogies have always been a hobby of mine since I began tracing my own parent’s lineage at the age of thirteen.
I have served as President of the Jackson County Genealogy Society (Jackson, MI), was a founding member and served on the first Board of Directors for the Thayer Families Association (Braintree, MA), and founded the Walnut Genealogy Society (Walnut, IA), serving as President and Editor for the Antique City Roots, their quarterly publication. As Past-President of the WGS, I continue to maintain the society’s website, with close to 200 pages and still growing.
Along with my wife Teresa, we have 4 daughter and 10 grandchildren. We are both semi-retired.
