DEATH OF MR. C. H. IBBOTSON
Mr. Charles Henry Ibbotson, of Stuart Street, Blakehurst, died at his home on Tuesday. The deceased, who was 77 years of age, is survived by his wife, three sons, and two daughters. The late Mr. Ibbotson took much interest in Freemasonry and was a worshipful brother of Lodge Manoah, being a Mason for over 50 years. Some years ago the late Mr. Ibbotson was a well-known coachbuilder at Newtown, many vehicles built by him being awarded prizes at various shows) He was an alderman of New town Council for 18 years, having been Mayor for one term. He was a foundation member and past president of the Blakehurst Progress Association, taking much interest in the progress of that area. The interment will take place this afternoon in the Woronora Cemetery.[2]
