He married Bettie Mosby Lee Wade on 19 Aug 1883 in Rockingham Co., N.C.[3] According to Mosby's 1900 and 1910 census, they had three children, none of whom survived to 1910.[4] One son, born about 1893, was named Jess.[5]
Thomas was a railroad conductor in 1900, and they lived in Roanoke, Va., with Jess.[6] In 1910 and 1920, Thomas was a train inspector, and they lived in Alleghany, Montgomery Co., Va.; Jess had evidently died before 1910.[7][8]
It appears that Thomas passed away before 1930. On that year's census, Mosby is listed as a widow and a farmer in Lisbon, Bedford Co., Va.[9] She remained there until her death in Dec 1954.[10] She was buried in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Montgomery Co., Va.[11]
