Richard Jenkin migrated from Cornwall in about 1858 to Australia.
Richard Jenkin was born in about 1825, baptised at Gwennap in February, 1825[1]. He was the son of John Jenkins and Kitty Morris.
Richard Jenkin married Mary Ann Gunn in 1854 in Gwennap, Cornwall[2].
They had children :

- Alfred Jenkin b. 1854 Cornwall
- Mary Ann Jenkin b. 1856 ?
- Elizabeth Jenkins b. 1858 Sydney
At some time between 1854 and 1858, he and his family emigrated to Australia (NSW then the Victorian Goldfields?).
He died (surname recorded as 'Jenkins') in 1859, his death registered in Victoria[3].
