Anna was born 2 Mar 1914, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Russian immigrants, Samuel and Rose Karp. Some time between 1920 and 1930, Anna's family moved to Monrovia, California, where her parents owned a poultry farm.
In August 1935, Anna married music instructor Guido Caselotti, in Monrovia, California. She was 21 years old. He was 45 years old, had recently been divorced, and had two teenage daughters.[1] Although the record isn't clear, we might suspect she was a vocal student of his, as she did perform in the Monrovia High School operetta of 1933.[2]
In 1940, Guido and Anne were residing at 129 Atlantic Blvd. in San Gabriel, California.[3]
In 1960, Guido and Anna moved to Locarno, Switzerland for two years.
Guido died 30 Jul 1978, in San Gabriel, California. He was 94 years old. [4] Anna passed away 20 Aug 1992. She was 78 years old. The couple was buried together at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. [5]
