Stanley was born in 1904. He was the son of Henry Karp and Elizabeth Heinsch. He passed away in 1970.

Karp Stanley Edward Faribault Daily News 29/May/1970 Funeral services for Stanley E. Karp were held at the St. Lawrence Church in Faribault on May 25, with the Rev. Eugene Pacholl as celebrant of the Requiem Mass. Music for the service was provided by members of the St. Lawrence Church choir. Pallbearers were Sherman Peters, Lawrence Urman and Howard Urman, members of Forest Lake American Legion Post and Erick Kurki of Stillwater, Clarence Clark and Willard Nourhla of Forest Lake, staff members of the Minnesota Department of Conservation. Other members of the Legion Post and staff members of Conservation Department served as Honorary Bearers. Interment was made in the family lot in the St. Lawrence cemetery in Faribautl. Veteran's military rites were conducted at the cemetery by members of the Faribault Veteran's Service Organizations-------and Richard Glor, color guards; Raphael J. King, Al Benson, Robert Endres and Sylvester Fiebiger, firing squad; Larry Atkin, bugler; and Floyd Hammond, escort. Relatives and friends attending the services from away were from New Hope, Owatonna, Denver, Colo., Kenyon, MInneapolis, Waseca, Red Wing, Forest Lake, Stillwater and St. Paul. Stanley Edward Karp, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Heinsch Karp, was born in Faribault on Nov. 2, 1904. He attended St. Lawrence Church School and the Faribault High School following which he attended Mankato State Teacher's college. He was employed at the Schimmel Piano Co. in Faribault and later, the Pure Oil Company. Following that he had worked for the Paul Schroeder Construction Co. in Faribault. During World War II, he had served with the Armed Forces. Following his discharge from military duties, he returned to Minnesota and shortly following that, he began his long career of 26 years with the Minnesota Department of Conservation in the Forestry Division. He had assumed the post of superintendent of the Carlos Avery State Nursery near Forest Lake, a position which he held at the time of his death. Mr. Karp passed away unexpected at his home in Faribualt on May 21. He is survived by a son, Stanley E. Karp, Jr. of New Hope, Minn., by a brother, Robert Karp of Owatonna; by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rocheleau (Lucille) of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. John Smith (Betty) of Faribault; by five grandchildren; by a number of aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph and Kenneth and by a sister, Kathryn. Mr. Karp was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Forest Lake. He was also a life member of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225 and had served for years as the Finance Officer of the Post.
