Biography

Anne was baptised on 1 August 1731 in St Ives, Cornwall, England.[1] She was the daughter of The Reverend John Keigwin and Prudence (Busvargus) Keigwin.

Ann married John Blake on 3 June 1752 in Yealmpton, Devon, England.[2]

Their children were:

  • Phillis who was baptised on 5 December 1751 in Landrake, Cornwall, England.[3]
  • Ann who was born in about 1760.
  • Margaret wah was born in about 1762.

According to the Dictionary of National Biography, it was "an imprudent marriage" [4]

After John's death in 1763, she and the family moved in with her half brother, the distinguished classical scholar Jonathan Toup who never married. [4]

She died on March 28 1814 [5]and was buried on April 1 1814 in St Martin by Looe, Cornwall, England.[6]

Cochrane-875 Zoe Cochrane
Keigwin-152 and Keigwin-81 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate profiles, that’s why it is vital to add Baptism, Marriage or Burial record as well as any links, ie. Keigwin’s of Mousehole, so you can see they are the same person and not to have an UNSOURCED profile which creates more work for other Profile Managers.
