He married on 20 Oct 1949 at Mobile, Alabama to Mary Frances Craft [4] and according to his wife's obituary, they had no children.
James passed away in 1996 [5][6] and was buried at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens in Mobile, Alabama. [7]
